The Team
At present Routeways employs three staff at the Diggin' It garden. Dave Sharp, Liz Wolsey and Sarah Gollop are managing the site and it's volunteer workers as well as setting up and operating the new outreach project.
Dave Sharp has worked in landscape gardening, and has around 20 years of organic gardening under his belt, so you could say he knows his onions. He has also had experience of presenting television gardening programmes with South West TV and enjoys showing off the garden to visitors.
Liz Wolsey took a break from her teaching career to persue her horticultural interests, and never looked back! She has gardened as a volunteer with the National Trust at Cotehele and also at Diggin' It!, whilst studying for her RHS exams. She now has the perfect job of working both with plants and people.
Volunteers also provide an extremely valuable addition to the work of the team, offering a range of skills such as gardening, marketing and promotion, administration and education and events. See our section on Volunteers under -Get Involved- for further information or if you are interested in joining us.All staff and volunteers that have completed a trial period have a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) police check carried out.
